Parked in the main Glen Tanar car park to give myself a warm up before doing minute intervals up to the top of Creag na Slice. I managed to fit in 11 by walking backwards between each one. Disturbed a herd of deer just near the top and then found myself engulfed by a swarm of flies, who must have decided my sweat was more attractive than the deers. Didn't stop on the top for a photo, with the flies attacking me, but carried on NW along the top to cross over from Deecastle at the fence line heading for Black Craig [64]

Did minute intervals up here from the gate near the top car park in Glen Tanar. Took 9 minutes. Lots of heather at the top. This wasn't enough so we went SW down through the heather to the stream and bog, then did 4 more minutes up to the track that comes across from Deecastle. All told the longest Tuesday evening session for a long time. The general consensus was that this was a good night out, which says more about the sad people in the picture than I could ever write here.
