Short afternoon run dodging the showers. Started from Glen Muick at 316875 and ran up the track to the junction, then took a direct line up a grassy slope to the top of Hunt Hill. This was all good going but there is a km of peat hags between there and the summit of Fasheilach. Great view of Lochnagar from the top and most of the way back down. Went back much the same way but stayed left to try to avoid the peat. Also detoured over the Cairns of Cul nan Gad, mostly because I like the name but also to see what was up there. No cairns, but a lot of big boulders, presumably erratics. Good view up loch Muick as well. Took about an hour altogether.

This was a fantastic day - not a cloud in the sky and perfect temperature. Followed track up from the cattle grid on the glenMuick road and then through heather and peat bogs to the top. Great views over to Lochnagar.
