Biked on from the foot of Mt Keen to the Cairn Leuchan-Hare Cairn track. Or more precisely walked with a bike most of the way. All good training I thought, so if anyone can find a race where you have to push a bike through heather let me know, I'm ready for it. Actually there is only about 1km of pushing, less in the other direction, and there are good tracks at both ends. Biked S up the hill for 500m or so then jogged across to the cliff. Took a direct route which wasn't clever - there is a viciously steep descent and ascent to cross the burn. Came back by crossing much higher up which is much better going and hardly any change in altitude. I've always wanted to visit this cliff on a day when the quartz was sparkling in the sunshine. A day quite unlike this one. Headed back over Cairn Leuchan and down the hill to the car. This is a quite fantastic ride - brilliant views and you don't have to pedal at all. Getting up there though is quite different.

11/06/07 Karen and Colin. Left bikes at Sheil of GlenTanar and made our way following deer paths to this point. We were not sure exactly what we were looking for so it took some time. Decided to buy a GPS!
