One more point in the Challenge in the Dark. Neither Warren nor I can understand why there were 20 of us out on Tuesday doing intervals, but only 2 for a run tonight, which was much more fun. Came up the Burn from the visitor centre, out the top and headed for Cambus, then went up Cnoc Dubh. Snowing a bit, but not too windy in the woods. A good run, even after Warren's battery went flat.

Came in by the tourist route from the Visitor Centre, then had to drop off (almost literally) from the track to get to the GPS point - but it isn't actually very far, maybe 50 metres.

17/05/07 Karen and Sheila. Cycled from Ballater - this was our first point today- proceeded to Tomnaverie and Corachree.

Ran down the gorge after coming off Culblean Hill. It's looking particularly pretty at the moment with masses of primulae flowering along the stream side. Not sure quite what the caption is for this shot, but that's my bum disappearing below the crags.

Came here from Loch Davan. Ran into the Vat then climbed the waterfall. After that there is a reasonable path all the way along the gorge for about a mile until you come out within sight of the path junction at 416997. Then it is a 10 minute run to the visitor centre, to the Raebush junction, or to Cambus o' May. It isn't exactly fast going along the gorge but it is worth the effort. Not sure exactly where the checkpoint is, probably a bit higher than this picture.
