Having also failed to add this one on with Clachnabn i decided to link it up with point 87 instead. Its a bit of a long boring plod but the views are good most of the way. Just after the high point of the fungle path a double electric fence (jurassic park style) crosses the path and heads up the hill. go through the gate and follow the south side of the fence east up the hill. a faint track begins near the bottom of the hill and becomes clearer higher up. the track goes over two hills and back through the fence before finishing in a bog at the bottom of the hill. its probably a good time to do this one as the bog is frozen solid at the moment! from there just follow the fence untill it reaches the main track from the south just bellow the sumit.

Still got a sore foot so no intervals tonight. Instead made a second attempt on Mount Battock having run out of time when I did Clachnaben. Biked up Glen Dye from the Cairn O'Mount road at 647845 for an easy 5 miles or so, then turned right for a much harder 3 miles. Followed the track uphill until it met the track coming from Clachnaben, followed this more or less to its high point, then took a less good path to the top. Mostly the surface was just good enough and the gradient just easy enough to keep riding, or at least not to have any excuse to walk, which made for a tough ride. The sun came out at the top though and the ride back was easy. The view from the top is mostly of heather and peat, though I could see Loch Lee and plenty of distant mountains. This summer seeing any view at all is a bonus.
