[74] NJ 44208 08935 Lazy Well

We cycled here from the West via Tillypronie House. It is a very grand house and you cycle right past it. After a wrong left turn we eventually found the place and was rather disappointed. We secretly hoped for a real well with a bucket on a rope and at least 100ft deep. Instead we got swampy water.

Left the car at East Davoch and headed up the track to Lazy Wells on foot. From there I carried on up the ridge to Pressendye, mistakenly thinking it was a Challenge point. Unfortunately, I didn't realise that Pitenderich was and ran back round the bottom of it on my return :-{ Must check the Challenge Map before I set out next time!

27/06/07 Dave H. Set off up here on the bike hoping the solid blackness in the sky was just a passing shower. It wasn't. It's an easy ride up here from Tarland via East Davoch on a pleasant grassy track, but the hail hammering on my helmet didn't make it the best of rides. The point itself is nothing special but several good tracks meet here. There is one marked on the OS map to Boultenstone and another not marked north to Upper Towie which make a nice little circuit on a bike. There's a path I haven't tried west which looks runnable, and the one I took east towards Pressendye. This is rideable pretty much all the way to the summit, which is where I went next.
