Did this the same day as Crannach Hill as part of a circular route. Hate coming back the same way. Really varied run in landscape and in temperature.14/10/07 Evelyn and Derek

Still trying to nudge our total upwards and trying to pick off a few local points after yesterday's big ride to Loch Etchachan with Dave and Kathy.

Came in same way as Dave. Had to go through the grounds of a house at Redburn but it seems empty at the moment.

Still tired after a long run on Saturday and with a sore foot so I took an easy bike ride here. There is a very nice grassy track which wanders through the woods from the corner of the A97 at 437030 and eventually gets to the Redburn cottage. From here the track up towards Culblean Hill makes a good challenge on the bike - the descent to Bridgefoot makes a good circuit. Today though I was too tired and hungry so I went home to watch some real cyclists in the Tour de France

Devised a new route today to link together Loch Davan [46], Redburn [45] and the Vat Burn gorge [47]. Parked in the E Dinnet Muir car park (off the Dinnet-Ordie road). Ran via Loch Davan, then out onto the NW road towards Redburn (pictured L). Not sure whether the house or the Burn itself is the challenge point? Continued from Redburn up the track and over Culblean Hill (pictured R). Dropped down to the Vat Burn, then followed it down through the gorge and back across Dinnet Muir to the car. 98' including photo stops.

20/04/07 Karen and Jo. 2nd point! Cycled from Ballater through the Cambus O'May trail to Lochhead cottage and then turned left amile up the Raebush road. Nice day
