Did the same route as Karen and Sheila below but I guess the temperature has fallen abit in 3 months.

A fantastic warm day. Parked at the car park and went up main track to col and then down to loch. Lots of blaeberries!12/10/07 Peter
This was the second point of the day after gelder sheil. Jogged up here and had a brief stop for a photo and a bite to eat by the loch before a sprint/ fast crawl up the black spout and on to the summit. it was great suddenly emerging onto the warm sunny plateau after the dull and damp spout! After a brief stop, ran over to the stuic (another point)... then the legs gave up so walked over carn an t-stagairt beag, round carn an t-stagairt mor, up creag and loch and then over to meall an t-slugain (another point). From there it was a long but pleasent jog back to balmoral via feith an laoigh.

Stage 2 of the Tour de Lochnagar. Ran down from the Meikle Pap. There are lots of rocks here. The trouble with doing this run at this time of day is that the coire is in shadow, and I spent a lot of time running into the sun. The rocks however were in brilliant sunshine. Went on to the Stuic.
