30/06/07 Dave and Kathy. Detoured up here on our way back to the car after doing 6 and 7. It's only a 2km trip up Glen Ey, then a short walk down to the river. You would never guess from the track that there was a deep gorge just 100m away. It's a fantastic spot, like Linn of Quoich but deeper and you can get down to the bottom (though I suggest that the last few metres are unrideable). There is a kestrel's nest a little further up the gorge.

Ran up the glen on a cold morning with gloves and hat on to take in Beinn Lutharn Bheag, Cairn an Righ and then met up with mum and sis on Beinn Lutharn Mhor, by which time it was a scorcher. Walked back down for a swim at the bed followed by a cold beer in the fife.
the path down the face of Beinn Lutharn Mhor disapears towards the bottom, if you head towards the burn another path follows it down to the lodge
